  After taking in my faulty car as a last resort second opinion, I was lead to believe by another mechanic that my car was beyond repair but after a really fantastic service provided by Louth cars all the problems were fixed within 24hrs they were very knowledgeable, trustworthy and courteous. One of the few reliable garages around, I'll definitely be using them in the future.

  Incompetence - Lost time and money. Here is my story with Louth Cars: I have placed an order from these guys on eBay. I had ordered brand new roof bars for my car (at least this is what was supposed to be ordered as per the item description). I received a pair of used roof bars (with scratches and missing pad) which were not matching my order (old reference, different from the one listed in eBay, with different technical specs). After contacting them, they told me that they were sorry for the mistake, that they assumed that old reference would be OK and that they did not knew they were used (????) ... so they asked me to ship back the bars and they would refund. But when I asked them to organise collection as per their own GTCs, as it was their mistake, they did not turned words into action, they did not respect their own GTCs and just promised me to refund after, that I had to send them the shipping invoice. So I shipped back the bars, sent the invoice... but got no answer nor refund after bars were delivered to them. I opened a Paypal claim, and they just refund me the bars price, I didn't get any single pence back for shipping costs (neither from original shipment - £21.95 - nor from return fees - £28,01), even if they had promised to do so. So, because of their incompetence, I lost +1 month and £50 of shipping costs. My conclusion ? Well, I guess it is clear: avoid this seller or consider taking the risk of receiving incorrect parts and not getting refund...

  We have now been using Louth Cars for a couple of years for servicing, repairs and MOT. They offer a great level of service and are friendly and know what they are talking about. Although they are a Peugeot specialist, I am more than happy to trust them with my Honda! If you need to find a reasonably priced and trustworthy garage. I would be more than happy to recommend Louth Cars.
